Character Group - Our History
The Character Group plc was founded in 1991 when its main business was the importation, distribution and sale, on an exclusive basis, of branded and character licenced children's toys and games in the UK and Republic of Ireland.
It was listed on the London Stock Exchange in June 1995.
The Group is engaged in the design, development and international distribution of toys, games and giftware.
This was achieved through acquisitions and organic growth and after disposals or closure of companies which were not seen to be part of the core business and were not contributing to the Group's profitability.
