The Character Group plc is engaged in the design, development and international distribution of toys, games and giftware. The business was founded in 1991, and mainly distributed products sourced from overseas third parties.
In 2003, the Group made a strategic decision to increase the development of its own products. Today over 70% of all products marketed by the group are developed in-house. A major benefit of this strategy was the opening of international markets, and our products are now sold in over 30 countries worldwide.
The Group operates mainly in the United Kingdom and China, and has offices in London, Oldham, Hong Kong and Shenzhen, China. It employs around 225 people worldwide.
The Character Group plc was incorporated in the United Kingdom in 2005, and is an AIM listed company. The Group's securities are currently only traded on AIM. There are currently no restrictions on the transfer of securities.
